Megan Lea Walker

Megan Lea Walker is a senior look development artist specializing in texture, materials, look development, grooming, and real-time character workflows. Her experience spans feature animation, avatar systems, and VR platforms, with a focus on creating polished, production-ready characters.With over a decade of industry experience, Megan has worked across DreamWorks Animation, Disney Animation, and Meta, including serving as a Character Look Development Supervisor at DreamWorks. Through mentorship, she helps artists strengthen their character work with thoughtful feedback, practical production insight, and clearer artistic decision-making.

Caleb Kicklighter

Caleb Kicklighter is an educator and artist working at the intersection of 3D animation, digital art, and emerging media. He is currently a professor in higher education where he teaches the full 3D animated pipeline—from story development through animation, lighting, and final render.With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Caleb helps students develop both strong creative instincts and technical skills through collaborative, production-based work. He also works on interdisciplinary projects and industry partnerships, connecting academic practice with real-world workflows.

A guided 12-week course that will take you through the full process of surfacing and grooming your own stylized 3D character.We will begin with learning the foundations of look development for 3D animation, then guide you through developing the shaders, textures, and art-directed groom for your hero. Along the way you will learn both the artistic and technical processes that professionals in the industry use, as well as receive weekly guidance on your own project to make it the best it can possibly be.By the end of the course you will have polished, lit, and rendered images of your character, ready to plug directly into your portfolio.Interested? Walklight Studio mentorship is a personalized learning experience built around reserved time, thoughtful feedback, project review, and guidance from both mentors. This policy is designed to be fair while respecting that time.

Mentorship Sessions

Mentorship purchases are fully refundable if canceled at least 48 hours before the first scheduled session.Once a session has taken place, it is considered completed and is non-refundable.If you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before your session and we’ll do our best to find a new time.In the case of multi-session purchases, unused sessions may be refunded on a prorated basis.For example, if you purchase a 4-session package and complete 1 session, you may be eligible for a refund for the remaining 3 unused sessions.

Missed Sessions & Special Circumstances

If you need to reschedule a mentorship session, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.Sessions missed without notice, or canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, may be considered used and are not guaranteed to be refunded or rescheduled.We know that emergencies, illness, and unexpected life events happen. If you are dealing with a situation outside of your control, please contact us as soon as possible. We review special circumstances on a case-by-case basis and will do our best to find a fair and reasonable solution.
